Scott and White took in two hundred pints yesterday. They had to turn people away last night, but today is a different story. If you can donate blood please do, they were working last night to set up a place near the McLane Dining Room in the main entrance to take in blood donors. This would be in Temple at Scott and White Hospital. Seton Medical in Round Rock and Darnell Hospital in Killeen also have soldiers injured. I am sure they need blood as well.

I only know about Scott and White because it is where we go, and the local news has covered extensively.

May God work with these brave men and women to heal them today.

My belief is the USA and Texas work just fine if people do their jobs. You appoint the best, and pray it works out. GHW Bush found out some appointments don’t pan out the way you would love with David Souter.

Whether you respect him or not the best way for a person in power is to let some things go. Perry seems unable to let anything go, if I thought before he was that way recently his actions have just confirmed what my grassroots heart believe, power is what he loves most.

Regardless of the outcome, Perry will not release papers around an execution that was under investigation. What I hate worse than a murderer going free is a innocent man being convicted. I along with the rest of Texas will never know the truth, and that is a deep concern for me.

Open records is our best bet to protect the tax payer and voter. How are we supposed to know why or whom is influencing whom without open records?

Perry doesn’t want us to know, and that regardless if he dropped the ball or not is a character flaw. Let it be, is not bad advice when it comes to appointments to top universities in Texas. Perry is so power hungry he will not even fathom what I am suggesting. Let it Be.

I have found a great place to search for money. Nope not money you or I get but money Rick Perry found. Also you can find out how much money the state spends or wastes depending on your take at TxDOT, millions on travel.

First up I am going to show you how along with TEA Perry’s OneStar Foundation found stimulus money. You know that dirty DC money, that Perry keeps saying he wants none of? At least homeless students got more than his foundation which BTW is an Americorp group. Many of my friends have been telling about Americorp and Obama has changed it into something most conservatives don’t want to associate with.

Now go and look at TxDOT (you can look at anything I am just interested in TxDOT today considering they are not building roads but spending like never before). Be sure and move the year and the agency over with the two >>then hit run query.

Also you can look at what an agency budgeted vs spent. Look at TxDOT numbers HERE.

Then you can look at what actual projects the money is going to. Like in my county they had million dollar plans but have spent less then $15,000.

More information rather than less will only help Texans and Americans. I am sick of wondering where the money is going in Texas. Where and how can TxDot spend so much but after looking at their travel budget and planning I can see they are wasting money in mind.

Gator is showing his goat first thing on Wednesday morning. We plan to be back on Wednesday late. If which is a big if Gator’s goat makes the sale we will back late Friday which means I won’t blog until Saturday.

Hubby and Dunk are holding down the fort, while working and going to college. They have to feed the goats and cows while we are gone.

I truly appreciate my readers, but I know my kids and my family I am staying with is truly the most important right now. Until I am back I am hanging my sign.

As a followup to Open Government I want you to consider this. If someone asked to see your tax returns and you were running for Senator would you release it voluntarily?

Michael Williams did, without a problem he was the first of the Senate candidates to allow the press to see what he made and what he paid.

This is nothing surprising to me, Michael knows it is our money he is going to be spending if elected.

I congratulate all the ones that complied, even if it was difficult. Did I mention I support Michael, now you know why. He understands that “the truth will set you free.”

As I have written before I deal in facts on this blog. If there is something outrageous I find and want to write about I offer proof positive. I could write rumors but I have chosen to take on the Big Government of Texas by dealing in absolute truths.

For months what I have heard from Perry is “bad DC, DC style, DC dirty money.” When you have listened to Perry like I have for years, I hear that and blah blah blah Texas is great and I(Perry)  am the reason why.  Sorry but truth be told, that is what simple brain hears.

I knew and have known that Kay Bailey Hutchison had former Perry supporters, high profile Texans and a list of endorsements many would kill for. I get no inside information, I am not in the loop, I read the endorsement list. I do what I think many do, look who is saying they think is best for Texas. There are a few names on there I highly respect, because they have done what is right no matter what it takes.

Perry on the other hand lost some big name contributors, and a few key endorsements. He did not lose Bob Perry, the mother of all contributions in Texas.

Who I value as important is not important, not as far as this post is. Who actually donated and where the money came from is absolutely riveting to me.

When it comes to actual facts, actual dollar signs count me as totally interested. It is one of the key ways to figure what is going on in a campaign.

Because this is so important I am going to break this down for you. Links that show actual numbers are done by a political Watch dog group, these type of groups can afford to request the information, and find the hard facts. Like it or not. Republicans and Democrats both need to be watched by this type of group. TTC and TxDot is proof positive of that.

I am a big fan of Top Gear on BBC. I love to see people that love cars drive cars. Jeremy has an car obsession.  I had not seen this clip, Jeremy is young and vibrant. When you come to Texas we don’t drive a lot of mini coups out in the rural part of Texas. I thought you would love to see a Brit become a Texas Truck Fan.
